babies and food!

Hello everyone! It's been a crazy week and I'll admit, I'm pretty dang tired! We tried out a few new (to me) recipes last week and only took pics of one. But the best pics are those of the new baby through ultrasound! This is 'Baby Boyd 2.0', as Mike puts it, posing for us! :)

slide! run!

Well, I will admit I have now signed up on facebook, and it seems to take a little of my evening time! Kind of addictive really...anyway...Nicholas has been under the weather lately, but seems to be making a recovery as of yesterday. Poor little guy had fever, runny nose, no appetite, general little kid cold that makes you worry and feel sorry for 'em.

Right before he got sick I took him to the Kid's Club in Vancouver *which Nick calls the "slide place" and let him run some energy out. It has basically a HUGE jungle gym/maze that is multi-level with 4+ slides...the 'ball pit' is under reconstruction and should be back open soon...Took a few pics, and a video. Hopefully they will capture some of it's wonder. It was Portland's spring break last week and the place was really packed for the morning hours!

A little more movement!

Well, every day I am feeling more and more movement from the baby. Not knock you over kicks or anything, just turning feeling.
Mike and Nick are also well. We have been so busy with work and fighting colds, I have not been good at keeping this up or keeping up with anyone! I will really try to do better...I guess I had better get the camera out more often too, to freshen up the pics on here...more soon....

What can I say? It was a beautiful spring day on a Friday the 13th here in lovely Battle Ground. The sun was shining, it was almost 60 or so, my garden customers were starting to wake up and come in for something to plant..... This spring fever will never get far out of hand here though! Yep, you guessed it! Nothing but rain for th unforseeable future starting around midnight tonight!!!

No problem--I've got myself some new 'preggo' pants with a sure to dazzle 'hidden belly' panel that pretty much comes up to my chest! I will be the envy of all fashionistas as I strut around the farm store! Seriously though, I am excited about my new pants, they are soooooo comfortable and still look like jeans to the untrained eye!

I will have to allow a photo to be taken so you all can see how they look. I know I'm only 4 months along, but I look like 5 or more at least!

For those of you who asked, and thank you, I am feeling pretty well. I seem to have crossed the all-day sickness plague (because 'morning sickness' is for sissies!!) and have moved into the all-day eating phase! Much to the delight of Mike who keeps asking where all the food is going...it's not all me though-Nicholas is sure packing the food away as well! Where does a thin little 3 year old put all that food??? ( sometimes IN the couch, sometimes in a toy drawer...)

We begin a blog!

Hello! And welcome to our new blog!

A thank you to De-I for blogging and inspiring us to do the same!

I will get the big news out front first! For those of you who don't yet know, we are expecting a new addition to our little family sometime at the end of August!

Nicholas just turned 3 last month. We had a lovely party with his cousin Mickey who just turned 2! They had a great time and wore eachother out. What generous family members we have who host us when we visit, and shower our son with so much love and so many gifts!!

I am just going to get some pics up for this first one, ok?
